Pumpkin Spice Truffles

Enjoy a taste of the season with our delicious Pumpkin Spice Coffee Cake Truffles! Our Coffee Cakes combined with cream cheese frosting create a delectable dessert that is perfect for any fall party or Thanksgiving dinner. Create a batch to share with family and friends while enjoying the cozy tastes of the season.

Makes 6-8 Servings


Ingredients:
1 Carton
Drake's® Cakes Coffee Cakes
1
Container Cream Cheese Frosting

1/4 Cup Granulated Sugar

1/4 Teaspoon Pumpkin Pie Spice

Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips

Orange Food Coloring, Optional


Supplies:

Butter Knife

Directions:

  1. Unwrap each Coffee Cake and add to a medium-sized mixing bowl.
  2. In the mixing bowl, add 1/2 cup of cream cheese frosting and mix together.
  3. Once mixed, roll a small amount of the mixture into balls. Set each one aside.
  4. In a separate bowl, mix together the granulated sugar, pumpkin pie spice and orange food coloring. 
  5. Roll each ball lightly in the sugar mixture to completely cover.
  6. Refrigerate the sugar-coated truffles for up to 10 minutes.
  7. Remove from the fridge and using the back of the butter knife, score the truffles to look like pumpkins. (See the recipe image for an idea!)
  8. Add the chocolate chip to look like a pumpkin stem.
  9. Place back in the fridge or serve immediately and enjoy!


Creation Tips:

For an extra tasty topping, we recommend using white chocolate shavings and a chocolate-covered espresso bean!
